IEGTs and press-pack transistor devices are high-power switching components for demanding industrial and utility-scale power conversion systems. They are designed for high-voltage, high-current operation in high-power inverters, traction systems, utility converters, renewable-energy infrastructure and industrial drives. Selection requires more than matching voltage and current; gate drive, clamping force, cooling method, mechanical dimensions and system topology must also be reviewed.
