How to Check IGBT Module Compatibility
A practical review framework for checking whether an IGBT module reference is suitable for a replacement or sourcing requirement.
Start with the application
Confirm whether the module is used in an industrial drive, UPS, inverter, welding system, PCS or another power-conversion topology. The application determines which electrical, dynamic and thermal parameters matter most.
Check the electrical ratings
Compare voltage class, current rating, switching conditions and the test conditions behind the stated values. Equal headline voltage and current values do not prove compatibility.
Review drive, thermal and mechanical conditions
Check gate-drive requirements, switching behavior, thermal resistance, mounting conditions, terminal arrangement, package dimensions and pinout before accepting a replacement.
Prepare the RFQ information
Send the original part number, quantity, application, target delivery, supply condition and any photos or datasheets for review.
